social everything.

In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minues. -Andy Warhol

It's true. Although stated decades ago, Andy must've been rocking a crystal ball.

Let's face it, social media is everywhere—and 15 minutes of fame is relatively easy to come by these days because of it. If you deny its presence and power, you're gonna miss the boat (or at least the engine you need to run it). I work around all forms of social media in my profession, and have surely embraced it. Explore my networks to the right.

Here's the twist... social entrepreneurship. I wholeheartedly believe that it's not all about money. This is where the idea of social entrepreneurship comes to fruition for me, knocking loudly and clearly at my front door.

[ "You can possess the entrepreneurial gift and spirit, to create something out of nothing, but you do it for other reasons than just to make a profit. You do it for the social well being and the betterment of whomever your focus is on." - Blake Mycoskie ]

After hearing this, I was sold and decided to use my freelance work as means to support organizations that are doing some much needed good in the world. Here's how: The "k8 supports" list below represents the organizations I support, simply by donating a portion of what I make on every one of my projects. I also take on pro-bono projects when I can. These are my small steps as I continue to seek avenues for practicing social entrepreneurship.
